Choose the one that describes your remit today, not where you are heading.

Yes, my responsibilities span the enterprise You are a senior or C-suite leader. Your accountability reaches across the organization rather than one part of it, and your decisions affect most or all functions. Typically chief executives, owners, presidents, and C-suite or senior leaders whose remit crosses the enterprise. No, my responsibilities are bounded to part of the organization You lead a function, department, division, or team. You work within direction set more broadly, and your accountability sits inside a defined remit. Typically function heads, division and department leaders, managers of teams, and leaders newer to leading people.

Not sure which applies

The test is reach, not seniority or title. Ask whether a decision you own would land across the whole organization, or inside one part of it.

Leading a large division still counts as bounded if there are other divisions alongside yours and someone above you sets direction across them. Running a small company counts as enterprise-wide, because the whole organization is your remit.

If it is genuinely split, choose bounded. We will adjust in our first session and nothing is lost.
